Welcome to Counselling Psychology Glasgow!

I am a qualified, HCPC-registered Counselling Psychologist offering therapy in Glasgow City Centre, just off Buchanan Street near Queen Street Station.

I offer a confidential, calm, and non-judgemental space where you can take time to explore what has been difficult for you, whether that involves emotions that feel overwhelming, patterns that feel hard to shift, or experiences that have left you feeling stuck, disconnected, or uncertain about yourself.

I work with adults and young people aged 13+ who are experiencing psychological distress, emotional or behavioural difficulties, relationship or family concerns, and periods of significant life change. My work is empathic and trauma-informed, supporting you to make sense of your experiences and to move towards greater emotional balance, self-understanding, and resilience.

My practice is grounded in respect, curiosity, and collaboration. I aim to ensure that you feel understood rather than judged, and that therapy is shaped around your individual needs rather than a one-size-fits-all model. I have particular experience supporting people with low mood, anxiety, bereavement, adjustment to illness, and other stressful or disruptive life events. I also work extensively with LGBTQIA+ clients, individuals from diverse cultural and transnational backgrounds (including Third Culture Kids), and students navigating academic and personal pressures.

As a pluralistic practitioner, I draw on a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, tailoring therapy to what feels most helpful for you. These include Person-Centred Therapy (PCT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), alongside approaches informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT)

I also offer clinical hypnotherapy and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) as part of ongoing counselling, where appropriate. These approaches can be helpful for managing unwanted behavioural, emotional, or health-related difficulties, including smoking cessation. Please note that clinical hypnotherapy is available for in-person sessions only.

Alongside my clinical practice, I am a Lecturer in Applied Psychology at the University of Edinburgh. My research focuses on mental health stigma and transcultural experiences in children and families, and this academic work informs my clinical practice. It allows me to integrate current psychological research with thoughtful, ethical, and responsive therapeutic work.
